The Happy Planner Love Story
About midway through February, my co-worker introduced me to her Happy Planner. Always an avid planner, yet I had not seen this particular gem. The happy planner is a removable disc bound type planner, with various themes and colors. The covers of the planner indicate the type of message you will find flowing throughout the planner, but once inside the pages are pretty bare, which is awesome. Why? Because it leaves you so much room to decorate and plan how you see fit.
Now believe it or not- this is an entire culture! People take decorating their planner pages very seriously and take time out of each week to sit down and plan uninterrupted. I have joined the culture. I find a certain joy in decorating my happy planner, setting goals and recording appointments for the week to come. There are ways to decorate the borders with a decorative tape called washi tape, and there are stickers, and downloads to help you achieve the look and design you want.
I love this planner for a number of reasons:
1. Customizable
There are so many ways to make this book your own, additional hardcovers, Etsy owners who will personalize various items for your planner.
2. Removable pages
It can be difficult to write in the planner. If so, just remove the page and re-insert when you are done writing on it. I also take my pages out when I decorate or “plan” for the week.
3. Add-ons
There are literally thousands of things to buy for your planner- including personalized stickers, to do lists, quotes, words, holiday stickers, faith items, bookmarks, grocery story icons, TV icons, cleaning stickers and so much more.
The planner really makes you want to get your life on track. To keep up with whatever activities you need to refocus on or to get back on track with. There are habit trackers, ways to track any activity that you want. Need to budget or save more, there is an addon for that as well. It really is a great fun and pretty way to get your to-do list done. I actually have two planners, I have one just for my social media (my own and my clients) as well as my personal planner that has my personal to do’s for the week.
