Atlanta has become such a great foodie town in the last decade. With a plethora of choice and so much variety it can be hard to choose where to go and when. But when selecting brunch you must try TAP. TAP gastropub is located at 1180 Peachtree Street, NE, and Chef David Connolly, has revamped the brunch menu with unique dishes and flavor.
The gastropub is beautifully designed offering an upscale yet friendly atmosphere.
The brunch menu includes comfort food favorites with a twist including the shrimp and grits dish. The gruyere grits immediately set the meal apart and with the additional flavor from the collard greens, the mushrooms, bacon, shrimp and a poached egg (I ordered my egg scrambled)- it was simply amazing.
Another must try dish at TAP, is the rabbit brunswick stew served cornmeal cheddar crackers. This dish was so good. It was very cool and windy in Atlanta Saturday and the stew hit the perfect spot. I wanted to be near a fireplace in a cabin in blue ridge mountain with an entire pot of it. If you are or aren’t a fan of stew, you will love the flavors.
The loaded tap potatoes was another hit off the menu. So much flavor and variety from your traditional loaded potatoes, this dish was loaded with bacon, pork belly, chicken sausage, cheddar, chihuahua scallions and sour cream! It was definitely big enough to share- I ate off this plate the rest of the day. The new brunch hours are on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm-3pm. There is valet parking and the staff members were very pleasant. From the very courteous hostess, to our friend in our head waiter and the down to earth and friendly manager Brandy. They were all very helpful and accommodating.
