Revamp Your Veggies
When you are trying to get your daily allowance of veggies in it’s important to try new things,. Steamed veggies can get boring and if you are bored with a food, you won’t want to eat it. Try a little variety to help revamp your veggies. Oil Them Up- try drizzling olive oil, salt and pepper over broccoli or brussels sprouts on a baking sheet or foil and bake in the oven at around 375 F about 40 minutes—it’s delicious!
You can also sauteing them or even stir fry veggies for more flavor. I mix multi- colored bell peppers and red onions and mushrooms and saute them with Mrs. Dash and pepper.
Remember to keep the dressing and cheeses to a minimum because too much can negate the nutrition of the veggies.
