Review: Local Three Kitchen and Bar #BrownGirlReview
Owners Chef Chris Hall, Chef Todd Mussman and Business Dude Ryan Turner are the three locals that make up the Local Three Kitchen and Bar. Their restaurant represents a shared philosophy on food, drink, hospitality and how to do business. The website explains a straightforward philosophy: People Matter Most, Local Is Priority, Seasonal Makes Sense, Authenticity Rules, Quality Governs, Delicious Trumps, Pretense Stinks, Comfort Feels Good, Appreciation Tastes Better, Prudence Sustains It All.
My fiance and I were first impressed with the true southern hospitality that greeted us at the door. Let me explain. When we arrived the restaurant had not yet opened. We pulled on the door and saw waiters, managers and bartenders setting up and prepping for the night. Once we were spotted we were quickly informed that they didn’t open for about thirty more minutes but we were encouraged to come on in, settle at the bar and have a drink until they opened. Nice!
The bartender/owner was very nice and very well informed as he helped us learn a little more about burbons like Elijah Craig. We had great rapport and before we knew it the restaurant was open and we were being seated. Our waiter was very friendly as well. He helped us make great decisions based on the popularity of the different items. He opted for a burger while I chose a chicken pot pie. The restaurant stresses the fact they they use locally grown and in season products. Therefore the menu is forever changing. Take a look at our delicious dishes below. My pot pie was amazing and my fiance can’t stop talking about his burger, “it had so many flavors.” Check them out if you get a chance. You won’t be disappointed!
