Healthy Bites: Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal
Being on the go most of the time, I very seldom have time to sit and have a formal breakfast. I need quick and transportable items, while keeping great taste and a healthy meal. I found that in Quaker’s Real Medley‘s Cherry Pistachio Oatmeal. In addition to taste I look for a few things when selecting food items to permanently incorporate into my lifestyle. I look at calories- I don’t want to exceed 1400 calories a day and using less than 300 on a delicious cup of oatmeal is ideal for breakfast.
I also look at the sodium content because I have a borderline hypertension issues so I am careful with my consumption of sodium (I try not to exceed 2000 mg a day).
Now for the taste. Oatmeal is pretty much oatmeal with a little burst of flavor, so I thought, right? Wrong! This cut is full of flavor and textures through the added chunks of real fruit and nuts- this product is a winner.
