High Museum| Basquiat & Muniz
Happy Monday beautiful people! I’m hoping your weekend was as exciting as mine was. Hubby and I used our memberships to the High Museum of Art for the first time. The exhibit we were most interested in was Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks, but we were thrilled to learn of other artist once we started to explore the museum. Most people have heard of Basquiat and his informal graffiti, social commentary throughout his work and his symbolic crowns. And we were introduced to Vic Muniz, renowned for creating what he calls “photographic delusions. This artist used everything from magazine clippings, to tomato paste and chocolate syrup to create his images.
