Food | Media Dinner at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse
If you haven’t treated yourself and dined at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, then you are certainly missing out. Davio’s is an upscale Italian steakhouse with an extensive menu & wine list in a refined space at Phipps Plaza. I was invited out to a mutli-course tasting of the restaurant’s new spring menu prepared by Executive Chef Timothy Magee and wine pairings by the General Manager Paul Dunn and I had no idea how much of a delightful dinner I was in for. The menu for the night introduced me to so many great flavors paired together, from the tenderness of the octopus, to the deliciously stuffed ricotta pasta. The well seasoned and perfectly cooked steak and the morel mushrooms were simply amazing. We ended the night with actual gold fudge! Could you ask for anything better than that?
Primo Course: Mediterranean Octopus, Cauliflower, Spicy Almonds, Carrot Purée
Secondo: Ricotta-Prosciutto Ravioli Parmigiano Brodo
Piatti Del Giorno: Brandt prime natural aged sirloin with confit potatoes, morel mushrooms and Barolo sauce
Dolce: Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta, Local Georgia Strawberries, Lavender Shortbread
