Food| Doggy Dog Gets Brick & Mortar
A couple of days ago, I was traveling through City of Decatur when the words Doggy Dog on the wall of a small white building jumped out at me. I am not one to just step foot into too many random places, so I returned to work to google the business. What I found out was that Doggy Dog was a food truck turned brick and mortar. The pictures and reviews as well as my curiosity of white people and their obsession with pimento cheese lured me back to the business. I viewed the menu and followed my instincts to try the 404- beef dogg, pimento cheese, bits, dogg sauce.
Doggy Dogg’s ingredients are preservative free and sourced locally while the buns come from Holeman and Finch, including a gluten-free option. The hot dog was actually very tasty! I couldn’t even tell it was pimento cheese on the dog, it melted so well, it made the dog a more upscale dog than you would make at home, including the toasted, thick bun.
Check out a few pics below and drop by Doggy Dog when you are in the Decatur area. More information as it becomes available can be found at http://www.heydoggydogg.com/
This is not a sponsored post, but just a quick shout out to a cool, local spot near home.
I really should have taken a pic before he wrapped it up, but oh well.
