Last weekend was such a busy weekend for me,. wait who am I kidding, February has been a busy month. There is my wedding Anniversary, Valentine’s Day and my hubby’s birthday! To finish out the celebrations for the month, my husband accompanied me to a blogger event that promised delicious cuisine. We attended an intimate dinner party with Diva Chef, Danielle hosted at a private location, appropriately named- Dinner with a Diva. The ambiance was lovely as she had a beautifully dressed table and a homemade sangria prepared to start the evening.
Danielle, whose Instagram is DivaChef “Pantry to Plate prepared a full four course meal for the event and she did a wonderful job of introducing each course before we were served. As Danielle spoke about her inventive creations, such as her hand rolled down south egg rolls stuffed with cabbage, collards and smoked chicken- we all knew we were in for a palate awakening!
The courses kept rolling out, sometimes two selections for the same course and each one brought new flavors, colors and restaurant style presentation. The wedge salad was served with Danielle’s homemade ranch dressing, which had the guest licking their lips and asking for more.
The main course was a BBQ braised short rib served with a cheddar herb crusted grit cake with crispy onions and sauteed french green beans! I’m usually not even a beef eater, but the meat was so tender I couldn’t resist. All we needed were our forks and the meat literally fell apart even after I microwaved my leftovers. Dessert was served and I was done, I needed a pillow and a blanket. I was so glad we were able to box up all of our leftovers, because I certainly enjoyed them the next day.

She currently sells boxed plates on the weekend, and you can see the menu usually around Thursday or Friday for the upcoming weekend on her Instagram. Danielle is also a wonder pastry chef who creates some amazing alcohol infused cupcakes. If your office would like boxed lunches during the week, you can inquire about her rotation and her menus.
